1979 Porsche 924 Turbo

This stunning 1979 Porsche 924 Turbo is a classic rally car with a unique place in automotive history. It was the first Porsche to feature a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration, a groundbreaking design for the brand. While Porsche handled the design, the car itself was manufactured by Volkswagen.

The early 924 models faced criticism for their modest power output, which sat around 120bhp. In response, Porsche introduced the 924 Turbo in 1978, equipping it with a KKK turbocharger (pictured) that boosted performance to over 170bhp. This upgrade finally delivered the power and performance enthusiasts had been longing for.

The featured K26 turbocharger was re-manufactured at AET HQ in Normanton, West Yorkshire.
