Based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, the experienced rally driver, Martyn Andrews came to AET with his turbo in need of repair.
The VF36R turbo fitted to his stunning Subaru Impreza WRX N12 (see picture) was suffering from excessive radial and axial movement on the rotor, thus was rectified. Billet upgrades were also made to both the heatshield and compressor wheel respectively.
Martyn’s rally experience includes the 1990 BTRDA Clubman’s Championship, where he placed 1st Overall in an Escort RS2000. He only recently started rallying again in a Subaru however, following a 28-year break!
Driver, Martyn Andrews along with his Co-Driver, Steve Greenhill are part of a self-run rally team who have seen recent success, placing 3rd overall in the 2023 Pirelli Welsh Forest Championship. They also placed 7th overall on the Cambrian Rally, a very respectable result.
2024 hopefully holds more success for Martyn and the team, as they aim to compete at most of the Pirelli Welsh Series events. The first event is the Rallynuts stages in April.
From all of us here at AET, we wish you the best of luck.
