In 2025, AET undertook the remanufacture of a Garrett GT40 Billet based hybrid turbocharger for a specialist customer’s Mercedes-Benz C11, one of the most successful Group C prototype race cars ever built.
This BorgWarner K27 turbocharger was recently remanufactured by AET for a customer specialising in earth-moving machinery.
Originally paired with the Paxman 8RPHC V8 diesel engine, this Holset Model 6 (53842) turbocharger dates back to 1971 and was recently restored by AET.
AET completed a K27 turbocharger upgrade for a specialist customer’s Porsche 934/5, one of the most distinctive and celebrated competition cars from Porsche’s Group 4 and Group 5 racing era.
This original Schwitzer 3LD-229 turbocharger, historically fitted to a 6.6 ltr diesel engine, dates back to 1969 and was recently restored at AET for a customer who owns one of the era’s most capable agricultural machines - the Ford 9700.
Built for reliability in demanding marine environments, the Volvo Penta TAD16 series features a 16.1-litre, in-line six-cylinder diesel engine engineered for commercial displacement craft and other heavy-duty applications.
This month, AET was entrusted with the restoration of a K26 BorgWarner KKK Turbolader turbocharger from a 1980 Porsche 924 Carrera GT. A homologation special developed to satisfy Group 4 racing regulations, the 924 Carrera GT bridged the gap between road and competition car.
In 2025, we have had the privilege of working with a specialist customer to restore a K36 KKK Turbolader from a Porsche 911 Carrera RSR (1974).
This year, we have had the privilege of working on some truly special turbochargers, and this one is no exception. It is a genuine piece of motorsport history: a KKK Turbolader K27 turbocharger from this 1982 Audi Quattro A1 Group B works car.

The Jaguar XJR-11 was a collaborative masterpiece designed by Tony Southgate and Ross Brawn for the 1989 World Sportscar Championship. The new chassis was engineered to house a compact V6 engine.
